Inpatient, Outpatient and Homecare

Occupational therapy is one-on-one skilled treatment aimed at helping someone resume the abilities required for independent living. Your doctor might recommend occupational therapy, for example, following a heart attack or stroke, for a chronic condition such as arthritis, or for problems maintaining balance. In most cases, these services are covered by insurance.

Whom we help: Adults of any age, who need to regain motor skills or compensate for a permanent loss to successfully perform tasks such as dressing, cooking, eating, or computer use.

What to expect: Following an illness or injury, it may take time to get back in the swing of things. The process of relearning skills may require a series of visits with your therapist. In cases where skill or strength do not return, occupational therapy can also offer alternative approaches for performing daily activities, including the use of adaptive equipment.
