"Downsizing for Seniors" Topic of Sept. 23 Lunch & Learn at Wallingford Public Library - 9/4/2008
Wallingford, CT, Sept. 4, 2008......A move to a smaller home or retirement community appeals to many seniors. But, what do you do with all that ‘stuff' you have accumulated over the years? At the Tuesday, September 23 Lunch and Learn program at the Wallingford Public Library, 200 North Main Street, Wallingford, Denise Gamache, Office Manager for Masonicare at Home, will offer tips to help you start the daunting process of downsizing.
From consigning to charitable donations, Gamache will discuss sorting, saving and selling strategies and options.
Wallingford-based Masonicare, Connecticut's leading not-for-profit provider of senior healthcare and retirement living, provides lunch and Learn programs for seniors and their caregivers as a public service. Masonicare at Home, a program of Masonicare's home health and hospice affiliate, Connecticut VNA, provides homemakers and personal care assistants for those who need assistance with routine homemaking tasks.
The Lunch and Learn program begins at 11:30 a.m. and includes a complimentary box lunch. The program is free, but people are asked to make a reservation by calling Beth Devlin at the library at 203-265-6754 by September 19.
