Annual Christmas Bazaar at Masonic Healthcare Center Nov. 21, 22 - 10/31/2008
Wallingford, CT, October 31, 2008........ Residents, staff and volunteers at Masonic Healthcare Center in Wallingford have been busy all year creating a variety of holiday items to be sold at their annual Christmas Bazaar, which will be held on Friday, November 21, from 9 am to 3 pm and Saturday, November 22, from 10 am to 3 pm at Masonic Healthcare Center, 22 Masonic Avenue.
A variety of lovely handcrafted items and ceramic pieces, including holiday decorations and crocheted and knitted items, will be offered for sale, along with an array of delicious, homemade baked goods, hot apple cider and specialty coffees. Selected items from Masonic Healthcare Center's Gift Shop will be available at marked down prices, plus Beanie babies and ‘stocking stuffers' for children, volunteer cookbooks, and lovely, handcrafted jewelry will be sold as well. A special feature that's always a hit is Verna's White Elephant sale that includes hundreds of unique and one-of-a-kind items donated by residents and staff.
An invitation is also extended to one and all to visit the Railroad Room, which will be open on both days for touring by the public. See a spectacular display of model trains that travel through tiny towns and villages on more than 600 feet of track. The "railroad men" volunteers will be happy to share their extensive knowledge of the history of railroading - from the good old steam engine days to the trains of today.
