Mary Lou Roos Named President of Masonicare Home Health & Hospice - 6/29/2010
Wallingford, CT, June 29, 2010.... William C. Piper, Masonicare's Senior Vice President for Continuum Services, is pleased to announce that Mary Lou Roos, RN, BSN, joined Masonicare in June as President of Masonicare Home Health & Hospice, Masonicare's home healthcare affiliate.
Ms. Roos brings to the organization many years of executive leadership experience in the healthcare field. Prior to joining Masonicare's leadership team, Ms. Roos had been President and CEO of Community Nurses, Inc. in Pennsylvania for the past two years. Community Nurses, Inc., a non-profit affiliated health system, is a Medicare certified home health, hospice and adult day agency covering three counties. Under Ms. Roos' leadership, Community Nurses was recognized by OCS as being in the Home Health Elite, among the top 25% of agencies nationally. Her impressive work experience also includes a wide range of operational, educational and hands-on nursing positions.
In announcing the appointment, Mr. Piper said, "Masonicare conducted a national search over several months to find the right person to lead our home health and hospice team into the future. Mary Lou has a very impressive track record of managerial, strategic and hands-on experience. We're fortunate to have her on board as we continue to grow and expand Masonicare's wide range of home care and hospice services to clients throughout Connecticut."
