William Piper Named COO of Masonicare - 7/7/2010
Wallingford, CT, July 1, 2010.....William C. Piper was today named Chief Operating Officer of Masonicare, Connecticut's leading not-for-profit provider of healthcare and retirement living for seniors. Stephen B. McPherson, President and CEO of Masonicare, made the announcement.
Mr. Piper has been with Masonicare since 1984 and has assumed increasing responsibilities during his tenure. In 2006, he became President of Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford. In 2009, he was given the additional title of Senior Vice President of Continuum Services with all resident-patient services statewide brought under him.
A licensed long-term care administrator, Mr. Piper is a graduate of Western Connecticut State University. He also earned a master's degree in Health Administration from Quinnipiac University, where he currently serves on the Advisory Board of the School of Business. He and his wife, Susan, reside in Meriden with their three children.
In his new role as COO, Mr. Piper assumes additional responsibility for Financial Services and Information Systems.
In making the announcement, Mr. McPherson praised Mr. Piper's dedication to Masonicare during his more than 25 years with the organization. "We are most fortunate to have someone with Bill's knowledge and expertise assume the vital role of COO. He has proven himself in many different capacities at Masonicare, and his experience and commitment to our mission uniquely qualify him to take on these added responsibilities."
